5 Healthy And Easy To Make Snack Ideas To Lose Weight

We humans love to munch on something every now and then. While it's always a good idea to snack in between meals, many a times we tend to make unhealthy food choices that end up taking a toll on our health and make us gain those extra kgs of weight that just seems so hard to shred. I truly believe in what they say, "You are what you eat". So, why not make the right food choices in the very first place & avoid all the hassle and guilt thereafter.
How about some really cool snack ideas that are absolutely healthy and super easy to make while also being totally delicious and worth a bite!
These snack ideas are not just healthy but they'll also help you lose weight or even maintain your weight.
Let's dive right into the list -
1) DATE AND ALMOND ENERGY BALLS -
Energy balls? Yes!! These look exactly like laddoos but with much healthier ingredients that wouldn't trouble you into counting calories before tossing them down your stomach. All you need is - Almonds, dates, oatmeal and coconut powder to garnish (optional).
DIY RECIPE -
Take 3/4 cup almonds and grind them completely into a fine powder form, now take oats and grind them as well, then take 10 seedless dates (already soaked in water for 30 minutes) and grind these soaked dates (without water). Mix grinded almonds, oats and dates together and make small balls out of this mixture. Once done, you may want to garnish this with some coconut powder. Your super healthy snack is all ready to be savoured on!
2) GRANOLA BARS -
If you are craving a chocolate bar, swap it for these instead! Granola bars are healthier, easy to make, super crunchy, chewy and packed with a boost of all the essential nutrients needed for our body. Feel free to customize them according to your likings. All you need is Oats (roasted for 3-4 minutes) , your favourite dry fruits (roasted for 3-4 minutes) and honey. You can make a batch of these and store them nicely in a container. Snack on these as and when you want to!
DIY RECIPE -
Take a bowl of roasted oats and add to this some roasted almonds, cashews and walnuts, chia seeds (optional), flax seeds (optional). Mix them really well. Pour 1/2 cup of honey. Add blueberries (optional), cranberries (optional). Mix all of this really well. Pour this mixture in a baking tray and try to flatten this mixture onto the tray as hard as possible. Refrigerate this for an hour & voila! There you have it. Cut it into bars and store it in an airtight container.
3) DRY FRUITS -
This one's a lazy hack for anyone that simply wants to have a healthy snack by their side at all times without doing much. In a jar put almonds, walnuts, pistachios, raisins, cashew nuts and mix all of that. That's all! Keep this somewhere near you and snack on as and when needed. This is one of my favourite hacks that I love doing all the time without having to worry about the calories.
PRO TIP - Alternatively, you can also snack on dates. These are super filling and are a great hack to satisfy your sweet tooth.
4) SPROUTS SALAD -
The popular Indian snack is worth a mention here! It's quick and easy to make. We've all tried it and we love it! Sprout salad makes up for an absolute go-to snack. Here's my favourite recipe that I love to do.
In a bowl, take sprouted gram, add 2-3 chopped green chillies, 1 chopped tomato, 1 small chopped onion, 1 chopped cucumber. Mix it really well. Add 1/4 tbsp chaat masala, 1/4 tbsp salt, 1/4 tbsp black salt and 1 tbsp lemon juice. It tastes super good and is absolutely healthy.
5) FRESH FRUIT SALAD -
Nothing beats this one! Grab a fruit when you're hungry and you're good to go for the next few hours. Fruits are a great source of vitamins and fibers that help to keep our body fit and active. Fruits can also instantly brighten up your mood. You can always make a quick fruit salad, just put in your favourite fruits in a bowl and there you have it! Trust me, you'll have zero guilt about this and your body will definitely benefit from the variety of vitamins and minerals it receives from the mix.
These are my top five go-to snacks that I love to munch on in between my meals. Even though these are extremely healthy DIY recipes but excess of anything is never good.
