How To Stick To New Habits? | Tried And Tested Ways

Image
"Our habits decide our future." They say,  "It takes 21 days to form a habit."  When setting up new habits there's always a struggle to keep up with them. Many a times we tend to go off track after a few days of getting ourselves onto a newly set habit. No matter how hard we may try to keep up with our newly formed habits, something or the other comes in our way. The struggle is real. Until we know what's exactly holding us back. Here's a list of reasons I've compiled that can potentially hold one back from sticking to the newly set habits. Thereafter we'll also look at some sure shot solutions that have worked for me to stick to my newly formed habits.  There are plenty of reasons that may become a barrier -  a. Unrealsitic goals b. Procrastination c. Lack of patience d. Lack of motivation e. Lack of consistency f. Lack of energy Here's what works -  1. SET MINI HABITS -  Mini habits are like the smaller version of your habits. Mindfulness as a Lifestyle | The Power Within

Image
Mindfulness is a way of life that makes living a lot more enjoyable and a lot less stressful. It simply means -  being aware of the present moment .  However, If I say, we're living a greater portion of our lives on an 'auto-pilot mode' , would you not agree with me?  In our everyday lives, many a times, we tend to do the things that we're supposed to do, without even being mindful of doing them. For instance - Having your breakfast while thinking about a presentation you're about to deliver in a meeting.  In that case, you'd probably have your breakfast without being mindful of - its taste, it's temperature, whether you actually like it or not, whether you're full or still feel hungry and so on. This is exactly what we can call, living life on an 'auto-pilot mode'. Now, that's a life that surely no one actually enjoys or would want to step into, but, somehow, we're all guilty of being 'mindfull' rather than being ...

Unleash the Power of Self-Talk | The Power Within

Image
We talk to people everyday, but how often do we realize that we're constantly in a conversation with ourselves too? While eating, walking, running, swimming, sleeping and even while we talk to other people, there is always an inner monologue going on. A   conversation of one with oneself. This is exactly what we call the "self-talk". It can either be a constructive one or a destructive one. Intriguingly, how we talk to ourselves matters the most. It is what we constantly keep telling ourselves -  "Today is a wonderful day, I'm so grateful to be alive." Or "Ugh, I hate mornings." "I can do this."  Or "I can't do anything right." I'm worthy of all the success." Or "I'm useless and good for nothing." If you're an optimist and a positive person, you're more likely to involve yourself into a constructive self-talk whereas if you have a hard time staying positive, you're more likely to get yourse...

How To Stand Out In A Crowd

Image
Hi there! I hope you're doing well today.  Every person on this planet is born unique & so is the person reading this. We're all born with an amalgamation of some special attributes, potentially non-existent in others & vice versa.  We all have a unique ability that no one in the entire world can replicate, no matter how hard they try. You're certainly agreeing to this  & probably wondering, "If  we're all unique, what is it that makes some people stand  out in a crowd more than everybody else?" Read on to find out what makes a difference -  1. SELF INTROSPECTION -  When we  tend to focus  on the missing/ non-existent attributes  that we don't  possess, we forget   to cherish the  attributes that we actually  possess, that  make us a completely unique individual.  Self Introspection is essential. It makes one turn  inwards & count on all their precious attributes & work on them....

(YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE) -  As they say, "You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough." Make each day count. Do what makes you happy. Know and remember that this day won't come back, once it's gone, it's gone. What you make out of this day solely depends upon you. You have the power to choose to be bright & happy, ambitious & productive, positive & determined or just the opposite! Life's what you make it. Don't forget to enjoy the little things in life. Every memory counts and makes us happier.  2. THE BRIGHTER SIDE - There's always a brighter side and a darker side to everything. Always try to look on the brighter side. There's no denying to the fact that life is full of ups & downs but there's also no good enough reason to stay negative & take your l...
